About

Serving Pasco County for 25 years
Attorney Michael Keough worked at UPS as a delivery truck driver for 7 years until a career ending knee injury forced him to reevaluate his future. While out on worker’s compensation and recovering from knee surgery, he experienced the complex and often frustrating worker’s comp system first hand. When it became apparent that he would no longer be able to continue work as a driver, he decided to settle his worker’s compensation claim and chose a new career path. He decided he wanted to help others and made the decision to apply to law school. Michael was admitted to Stetson University College of Law and graduated with his Juris Doctor degree in December 1994. He was hired by a prominent law firm in Pasco County and as luck would have it, a position in Worker’s Compensation opened. Through his prior experience as an injured worker, he had a unique perspective and became highly successful in achieving the best possible outcome for Claimants. Michael became a sole practitioner in 2000 and continues to specialize in injury and worker’s compensation law. He has represented thousands of injured workers in the local community and is AV-Rated by Martindale-Hubbell – the highest ranking for ethics and competency in the field.
Michael is a graduate of Land O’ Lakes High School and is currently in the LOLHS Athletics Hall Of Fame for his success as a football Quarterback. He received a scholarship to play at Tennessee Technological University and graduated in 1982. He resides in New Port Richey with his wife of 35 years, Lisa, who is also his legal assistant. They have 3 children and 1 grandchild. When not working together to help injured workers, Mike and Lisa enjoy boating, spending time with family, and are active members of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
